VISION FOR UUMC
Developing followers of Jesus Christ to Serve the World.
We become the church that God desires for us revealed through the power of the Holy Spirit. We will not rest on our past, but build on our great heritage to become a more effective place of ministry for Christ. We seek to put God first; others second; and ourselves last.
Core Values
Biblical foundations are key to our existence.
Regular worship is central to our church, using all our abilities to bring praise to God.
Fellowship grows the body of Christ and exemplifies the biblical understanding of “community of believers”.
Prayer deepens our faith and changes lives.
Christians are called to live daily for Christ, serving his church and his people.
By the Grace of God, we are to be exhibitors of Christian hope and encouragers of all people.
We exist to strengthen the family.
We are a Christ centered, lay-led congregation.
As John Wesley said, “the world is our parish”, meaning we have a large mission field.
