First and Second Grade Class

The first and second grade Sunday School class does many things, some unexpected.

One of our main goals during the year is to memorize the names of the books of the Bible. Every year, the class memorizes the names of all 66 books in order and recites them during the worship service one Sunday. Our class also memorizes the 23rd Psalm, one of the most well-known and beloved passages in the Bible.

However, this class is about more than memorization. We learn many of the stories of the Bible following the curriculum of Lifeway’s Gospel Project and have a lot of fun while we do it. We do such things as build pyramids, take blind walks, bake cookies, make gifts for shut-ins, and generally have a good time.
