Lydia Circle is named after Lydia who was a strong supporter of the Apostle Paul. She was a successful businesswoman who found God through Paul’s preaching, and opened her home and resources for his use. She was known as a seller of purple cloth.
By naming our circle after Lydia, we hope to remind ourselves that even though we get caught up in all the hustle and bustle of our society, we can never neglect our faith. And we should strive to help others grow in their faith.
Lydia Circle meets once a month throughout the school year. Currently, we meet once a month on a Monday evening at 6:30pm usually following the general UMW meeting for that month.
