Janet graduated from Belleville THS (West) Class of 1951.

Home Life: Leroy and Janet have been married 33 yrs.
This is the second marriage for both of them. They have a total of 8 children (4 each), 22 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Favorite Food/Resturant: Their favorite restuarnts are Olive Garden, Smokey Bones, Red Lobster and Applebees.

Favorite Music/Band: Leroy and Janet enjoy Brass Bands and Drum Corps. They have always had their own Brass Quartet.

Favorite Movie/Book: Leroy likes any war movie or western. Janet loves musicals.

Favorite Place: The Getz's favorite places are Gatlinburg, TN and Branson, MO.

Perfect Day: Leroy and Janet enjoy a day with noo worries about anyone or anything.

Why I Worship At Union: Janet was born into Union. Her parents and maternal and paternal grandparents worshipped here.
Leroy joined Union when he and Janet became engaged.

Current Service At Union: Janet is a volunteer receptionist at Union. She also servers on the Administrative Council. In the past she has served in other capacities.
Leroy serves on the Administrative Council and FSM.

Community Activities: Leroy is a member and on the board of the Korean War Veterans Association and the Millstadt Sportsmens Club. He was also a member of the Belleville Auxiliary Police.

Janet was forced to give up all volunteer activities several years ago.

Surprise: Janet was an avid St. Louis Browns fan until they left and went to Baltimore in 1953.

Leroy wanted to be an Illinois State Trooper until he was injured in service.
